I have too much body roll. I wanted the Z51 package, but I ended up buying a car the dealership already had on order (w/o Z51) to get the low apr deal. Anyway, is it possible to just get the dealership to order the Z51 sway bars and springs, or should I just spring for the $500+ Hotchkis Kit ?? Also - what about lowering it ? Any suggestions would be helpful. :seeya
Get the Z06 bar kit from Fichtner's. $231 - less than half the cost of Hotchkis.

Since you have an 02', all you need are bars and isolator bushings. (~$170 from Fichtner) Also, there is a huge difference in the std. and Z51 shocks. You might want to look in to a shock change also. Bilsteins were my preference.

What is the advantage of the 02 and the price break what does it have that the others don't?
I think all 02's already come with the metal end links instead of the plastic ones that were on earlier models so you wouldn't have to buy them. (I think that's true for all '02s and not just the Z06's. Can someone confirm?) Good point and will save you even more $$$. As noted above, Fichtner's is a supporting dealer in Montana that sells GM parts a lot cheaper than most dealers and ships anywhere. Bob, the parts mgr., is a great guy and very helpful. Great service. Bob's # is (406) 628-4121.

For a complete Z06 suspension set-up, you need the front Z06 bar, 4 Z06 shocks, the stiffer rear spring, and a Z51 rear bar, and all 4 metal end-links.

Huge difference after I put the Z06 bars on my base suspension vert. I will add Z51 springs and Bilstein Sport shocks before I lower it.

I have a 2002 Coupe with the F45 suspension and I can confirm that it came with stock metal end links. So I would guess that all coupes and verts, as well as Z06's, now come with metal end links. I put the Z06 sway bars on my car last weekend.
I have a 2001 convertible and have been looking hard at the Hotchkis front and rear sway bars with metal adjustable end links. Cost is about $550. Are the Z06 sway bars the same diameter as the Hotchkis? I autocross and want to reduce body roll. I have F45 adjustable suspension so I am also interested in the more agressive monosprings to help body roll and response. Any suggestions on spring weight?
The Hotchkis bars are reputed to be stiffer than the Z06 bars - good for autocross but some people have found them too punishing for everyday street use. Not sure of relative diameters - maybe Hotchkis or one of the Forum vendors that sells them can tell you. The Z06 front bar is hollowed out inside to reduce weight, also not sure about the Hotchkis.
