Default 2002 Z06 Running Light Issue

I have a 2002 Z06 and am having an issue with the passenger side running light. With car running and no lights on, the light does not burn. If I cut on the head lights the light burns. Are there 2 independent/separate bulbs for these lights? Or is this a more serious problem? Any comments appreciated.

From your post, it sounds to me like one of the two filaments in your RH bulb is burned out. Each bulb (both RH and LH sides) are double filament and the one that is burned out is the brighter of the two, and serves as both your DRL ("running light") as well as your turn signal. The other filament only serves as your parking lights when your headlights are turned on.
Replace the bulb and also check to see if the housing it sits in is cracked/burned, etc allowing water in. If so you'll need to repair or replace it as well, otherwise this situation will only happen again and again. This is a very common C5 design problem as the bulb sits too close to the housing and it dries/cracks/blisters over time allowing water in.
Rather than just replacing bulbs (and ultimately repairing the housing constantly), I would suggest going with LED bulbs and this will permanently eliminate this issue. You will however, have to install (easy plug-n-play) flasher bypass harness so your turn signals don't go into rapid-flash mode every time you use them.

Forum vendors JW Motoring or The Radio Flyer are both good sources for the LED bulbs as well as the flasher bypass harness and they are both Corvette owners as well so they are very familiar with this issue.

No problemo. Sorry it got so windy, but I didn't want to just say "replace bulb" as I know from experience you'll just be right back again if the water gets in again, and the vicious cycle continues.

This is one of those ongoing problems with our C5s due to a crappy design. Either LEDs or bypassing the DRL relays (my personal choice) will solve the problem of burnt housings/sockets and/or blown bulbs.
