I know.

Did everything that I've seen in many threads. Can't get either side in. Starter, alternator valve covers, fuel filter and sender unit jack motor on side I'm working on. Everything. Need help.

2004 Z06 Kooks 1 7/8 headers.

Thanks gents

How high up off the ground are you? IIRC, I had mine up at least 22". Also, you're dropping the LTs from the top, or putting them in from the bottom?

I am HIGH. So that is no issue. Dropping both sides in from the top. I'm going to try raising motor and taking mounts out and then dropping it to see it that works this evening. Also planning to call kooks for some guidance.

Anyone got any other ideas? Or anyone around dallas? I would gladly pay someone to help me get these things in!

I put my ARHs in from the bottom. That's why the height measurement is critical. Gotta be at least 20" up to make it happen.

The Kooks I helped install had to go in from the bottom and we jacked each side of the engine up pretty high to get the clearance we needed. We loosened the nut on the engine mount on one side to allow the engine to shift a bit and then jacked the side we were installing the header in a lot.

I just had mine off when pulling the motor, and forgot to set them in place before lowering the motor in. Mine are the same 1-7/8 and had to go in from bottom. Went fairly easy but then again I had cradle dropped down some still. Cant wait to do it again since tonight I noticed a small drip from the rear main seal............... again....

I can see that being possible only by dropping the cradle.

Got the drivers side in yesterday. Had to beat it in with a 2x4. Thought I was going to have to remove the alternator bracket for a minute but thank god I didn't have to do that. Hopefully I'll get it all finished up tomorrow evening.
