Default side view mirror issue

Hey all,
I have just run into an issue with my side view mirrors.
It seems that they arent keeping memory or somehow they are just adjusting on their own.
I am the type that sets my mirrors and forgets them.
Well the other day after the Vette was hybernating in the garage for a while I took her out and I saw the drivers side mirror pointing to the ground. Figuring that I or someone must have bumped it, I readjusted the mirror (since they wouldnt readjust when I hit the driver 1 button). I come out later and now they point to the ceiling. Again I reset them and program the driver 1 button.
This has continued intermittently for days now. The drivers side mirror just adjusting on its own. It doesnt seem to do it when I driver, but when she sleeps.......

Any idea?

Thanks

That is a classic module issue in the sleep mode. Not at home with my FSM to see if it could be the door module or the BCM.

PS: You used the term "they" above. Is it a problem with just the Driver side? In the interim you might try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to see if you can "reboot" everything. Sometimes that will work. It is at least zero cost.

Thanks dadaroo for the insight.
Right now it appears to be just the drivers side.
Weird thing is when I pull up codes I dont see any, or any new ones.
Any more insight you can give me I would appreciate.

I havent pulled the battery cables yet.
Just spent an hour under this car and an hour under my H2. So I am trying to get some water into me (its still 80s to 90s here)
Just wondering will I loose my radio and have to recode it if I do pull the battery cables?

Thanks

When does it adjust? When you first start the car? My passenger one does something similar, I made it a habit of starting the car with the door open so the mirror doesn't move.

You will need to redo the presets on the radio if you disconnect the battery.

Forgot to ask, do you have the Memory feature on your car. Would affect my thoughts on diagnostics.

Also, feel free to PM me with your phone number if you want to discuss system design.

Did you resolve this? My 02 with memory is doing the same thing.
