Koni Shocks on C5...what a difference..
One of the things that I did not like was the way the car was skiddish in turns, bumps, and uneven surfaces...especially under accelleration. Well I've had Koni's on several street and track cars, and I opted to give them a try---as they have a special Corvette Package of front/rear shocks...
To put it simply..they made the car drive much more securely on the road--not harsher or harder, but more firm. It eliminated the "skiddishness" on bumps, etc. which allows you to turn and accellerate quicker out of turns...and plants the rear end firmly....it might hit a bump--but then sticks..giving the driver much greater security in driving.
I'd highly recommend that you consider this option as a means of enhancing the driveablity of your C5....!!
Koni has only recently developed this Corvette specific shock....and have done a good job with it, in my opinion.

Anyone want the new ZO6 shocks for their C5?
It seems like several other people here on the forum love them. But I guess that's why they call it opinions. :D
oh well, the Z06 bars and metal end-links are going on tomorrow.
Through certain bumpy roads the car just gets crazy as the shock cant seem to keep up with it. I'm hoping the koni's will take care of that.
Bilsteins seemed great on my Camaro, but then again it has a solid rear axle so bumpy stuff always sucked.
