Default Need Help in the Houston NW area

My car has been tuned but there are a couple of items in the tune that need to be turned off. My PCM has been tuned with HP tuners and is unlocked. I just need someone to turn a couple of things off in the tune for me so I can get it inspected and finally drive it. Please PM if you can help.

Thanks, Ch@0s

Why not go back to the tuner? It'll cost $100 in credits for someone to do that for you.

PCM licenses stays with the HPT module, not the PCM. If you were told it's "unlocked" that just means the tuner did put a tuner-lock, meaning someone else with tuning equipment can write to it. Locked PCMs cannot be tuned without the HPT module that locked it.

When did I say you wouldn't pay for someone to do it? I was letting you know that it would cost money since you were mistakenly under the impression that an "unlocked" PCM meant it would be free to tune for someone with HPTuners. On the other hand, returning to your tuner should be free if that's an option. Don't need to get all sassy when someone is trying to help you save $100.

OK, Thanks

I didn't have time to explain before but I will now. My PCM has been tuned 3 times by 3 different tuners the last guy to tune it said he did not have to buy any credits because my PCM was unlocked. I admit I don't know much about tuning so I took his word for it plus he gave me a $100 discount because of it.

I have been trying to get hold of my tuner with no luck it has been months since he did the tune and I have been finishing up odds and ends.

My apologies for being short with you.
