Dach Squeak in '02
Dash around instrument cluster is making a sound like plastic rubbing plexiglass.
Sounds almost like keys jingling, but it is not. It is a stick slide stick slide type sound fromt he cluster area that I can stop by pressing on the cluster with my hand.
Anyone experienced this and fixed it themselves?
How easy is it to remove the cluster bezel?
Time to consult the service manual?

Whan I partially disassembled my dash, I was surprised at how many fasteners were not fully tightened at the factory. One screw in particular was about to fall out!

I see what you mean Mike.
After studying the service manual, this will be a winter project at best. Just too damn many screws and disassembly to deal with for a squeak.
Yet another annoyance that I will just have to live with and hope it disappears with time.
I'm beginning to think build quality is slipping again. I had some similar problems in my '00 but really nothing this significant (metallic paint defect, paint peeling off mufflers, hood liner problems, shift lever problems, squeaks, etc.).
But then again, looking on the bright side, my '91 was worse! Much worse!
Perhaps a casualty of the current 35,000 unit per year build rate.
