I'm a little confused on the correct spark plug gap. I know that the Delco 41-962 are the OEM Platinum plugs that were often used. From what I've read these plugs were gapped at .060 but when the switch to Iridium was made the gap was changed to .040.
These plugs per Advance Auto and Amazon's website state that they are gapped to .040 (will have to verify when I get ready to install). Is this gap okay? Why would the same plug be set at .060 from the factory but is now being recommended to be used at .040?
