I have a 03 Z06 with 27K miles. Lately I have noticed noise (kind of a clunk and sometimes a grinding noise at slower speeds and in turns at slower speeds coming from somewhere in the drive train (rear end or differential).

I have had all of the fluids drained and new fluid installed in the drive train (transmission, differential).

I cannot seem to isolate the noise, but it is annoying. Any ideas?

Thanks

Did you change the rear end and trans fluid yourself? If so, check the old fluid to see if any metal is present. This would not be a good sign if it is. If someone else changed you fluids, I hope they looked at them for you. Its something I thought of without getting too technical. I found a lot of metal in an old Corvette's rear end oil after I had heard noise. I had to have the rear end rebuilt. I hope your problem is not this bad. Good Luck. The Outlaw

My wheel bearing sounded horrible when it went bad. Maybe wheel bearing?
