Have the 1214 code and need to get my EBTCM repaired. Noticed that a company named "My Airbags" advertises the repair for the C5 unit at $79.00. I know the ABSfixer charges $150.00.

I just finished this repair this weekend. I replaced 2 relays. Things back to normal.
When you are ready to reinstall, consider putting a small amount of silicone in the 6 holes that the screws go into. put the screws in the holes and let the silicone set. Just find the screw and tighten down, It made the installation process much easier not having to hold the screw and find the hole. Especially on the 2 middle screws. Those were a pain to get at even with the screws sitting in the holes.
Dont forget to clear the codes after the install. I let a few choice words out when I started up the car and still had the messages on the DIC. Cleared the codes and all is fine!

I did this fix last week.
While I do appreciate ABSFixer for doing what they do, having done the job myself I can tell you that it is a $75 job, not a $150 job. It's a no-brainer fix for an electronic tech (DeVry Phoenix, 1998).

Recommend module masters. Nothing against absfixer, they only repair certain components. They did mine once, then it failed again with different codes. Absfixer could not repair for that code. Module master replaces everything that is prone to fail.

Too late, mine is already at ABS Fixer and should be back to me this Saturday. Wish I had seen Module Master mentioned earlier.
