Default Replacing the Slave help? 97 c5

Hey guys im replacing my slave cylinder. heres the story i had Vette doctors replace my clutch with a CF clutch about 10k ago the clutch still has a lot of meat so i think its safe to rule that out. The car will not shift past 5k rpm i have to wait til it drops below that in order to shift 2nd which i believe is because the master hydraulics. and one day i found that pushing the clutch in does absolutely nothing it only pulls the clutch off the flywheel about 1mm. Im assuming this happened because i never cleaned my fluid and i drive the car real hard. i heard that once he slave gets dirty there is no cleaning it. anyways what im asking is will replacing the Slave going to fix this problem. Right now i have the whole assembly on a jack waiting to be pulled back. and any tips on how to remove the ABS module in the back. Just for clarity i have tried the search many times

Thank you for any help

Worth it to replace the MC first, in case that's the source of your problem. It's far easier than the slave, which requires torque tube removal. Try a Tick MC; much stouter than stock, and I recommend using a 3/4" bore, rather than the normal 7/8". Either way, a Tick will flow more fluid than a stock replacement. Assuming you have a new slave when you had your clutch installed, then it shouldn't be the problem.

I replaced the MC when it first happened then after about 3 weeks it did it again.

So... putting a new MC worked fine for 3 weeks?

I wouldn't say fine, it did fix the pedal doing nothing but I was still unable to shift past 5k. If it matters when I had the pedal to the floor and shifter was in 1st if I revved it up to 4500-5000 it would start to roll

Read the other thread; same situation, maybe same solutions.
