Default Idle relearn procedure.

Where do I find the instructions for doing the idle relearn after removing the MAF screen on a C5?

If I'm not mistaken, you don't need to force the computer to relearn, it will adjust the air/fuel ratio within 50 miles or so.

luvinC5 is right but I copied this from a post some time ago.

Corvette Idle relearn

(You can substitute pulling fuses instead of disconnecting the battery. Sorry, but I'm not sure which specific fuses, but I think there are two you'll need to pull.)
LS1 Idle Learn Prcedure (from How to Understand, Service and Modify Corvette Fuel Injection and Electronic Engine Management by the late Charles O. Probst)
Here's how you help the computer relearn the minum throttle angle:
(First, disconnect the battery)
Automatic Transmission LS1
1. Turn the key off, reconnect the battery, turn the AC control off, set the parking brake, and block the drive wheels.
2. Start the engine, shift to drive, let the engine idle for five minutes.
3. Turn the AC control on (make sure the AC button light is on). Idle for another five minutes.
4. Leave AC on, shift into park, and idle for yet another five minutes.
5. Turn the AC off, and idle for a final five minutes.
6. Finally, turn the engine off for at least 30 seconds.
Manual Transmission LS1
1. Turn the key off, reconnect the battery, turn the AC control off, set the parking brake, and block the drive wheels.
2. With the transmission in neutral, start the engine.
3. Turn the AC control on (make sure the AC button light is on), and idle for five minutes.
4. Turn the AC off, and idle for another five minutes.
5. Turn the engine off for at least 30 seconds.

1. Insert key into ignition and turn to the "on" position but, DO NOT START THE ENGINE.
2. Pop open the engine fuse block box cover and remove the two 10 amp fuses frm position numbers 16 and 23.
3. Your DIC will now display "check" messages for ABS, etc.
4. Turn ignition to the "off" position.
5. Re-insert both 10 amp fuses for positions 16 and 23.
6. SWtart your engine
7. Allow engine coolant temperature to reach a minimum of 176 deg.F and run at this minimum temp at least 5 minutes.
8. Shut down engine
9. Let rest for a minimum of 30 seconds.
10. Restart engine- check for DIC error codes(there should be none).
11. Drive car for a minimum of 30 miles at varying rpm settings and speeds. PCM wil now re-learn and adjust new air flow and air temperatures at the intake.
