dreaded 97-00 EBCM fail
Ok! It has not happened to me as of yet. However I realize there is and never may be a fix. So what happens is abs and traction control stop working? I am ok with that as I have driven cars without each for years.
Now if we accept that......is there a way to get rid of the annoying lights? If I can bypass the lights I can continue to enjoy my car without constant reminder. Has anyone done this before.

I don't like/care about ABS and keep my Traction Control off to keep the Active Handling from making a lane change on its own. I have some links on my home computer on the topic of disabling the related functions/indications. I think it would require some Tech II reprograming if I recall correctly. I personally don't mind if my Traction/Active Handling light is on. Of course I could pull the IPC and remove the bulb but I prefer to not do that. Will try to find my links for you later when I get home if no one else beats me to it.
