can you name this noise?
ok i just bought my 98 6spd about 1 month ago with almost 14k mi on it. Ijust took a long trip on my vacation ,about 900 mi. BTW the car has about 17 k on it now, anyway the noise i hear seems like a muffled rattle that only happens when i start off in 1st gear not at all when i shift to 2nd thru 6th or downshift, could it be a noisy throwout bearing. It dosnt always make the noise maybe 60% of the time. I just bought a gm warranty with a 50$ deduct is any clutch prob covered ,I didnt get any paperwork with the warranty.

That's normal. It has to do with the trans axle and torque tunnel. It's explained in the video that comes with a new car purchase. It unerved me at first too. Just enjoy your new car :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod: What model bike you have?

I am selling my 99 cobalt blue fxd superglide88 cu in. I love the bike, but the vette gets all of my attention now. I dont really want the payment at this time, it has 13k mi on it , and i have about 3k$ into it.i will prob advertise it soon ,asking about 13k for it.

The noise is caused by torsional vibration in the drivetrain and is perfictly normal. I hear ya about the bike, I had to let my Super Glide go inorder to down payment my Vette in 1994 . The Corvettes started a new page in my life, I wish I could have kept my Glide :cry
