Lately my key FOB looses its memory....if I go through the re-sync proceedure...it works fine.....a few hours later it won't function at all....after another re-sync....it works again....I have a new battery and it is putting out just over 3.00 volts...can't figure out whats wrong....both FOB's exihibit the same behavior.....so it doesn't sound like it's the FOB's that are bad....maybe a chip ready to fail in the receiver section? Anyone have this problem?
Mine used to do the same thing. My problem was with the battery contacts, which are a very poor design. Carefully bend them a little to put more contact pressure on the battery.
good reply by azarby plus make sure those contacts are clean. some electrical cleaner on a q tip.
if your tire pressure sensors are working properly then the receiver is ok since they're both on the same frequency.
Mine did the very same thing. Went thru three remote batteries programming the thing. Finally I had the dealer replace the recieving unit, after I showed him where it was located  . Since then it has held fine and that was about six months ago.
Thanks for the info....I have a new battery.....didn't help....being that both my FOBs do the same thing, I think it's the receiving unit....what's the cost? where is it located? can I install it myself?
On my hard top, it was located behind the carpet over the drivers side rear wheel. It is mounted upside down torwards the gas filler door. Dealer replaced mine under warranty. If yours is not under warranty you could replace it yourself-unplug and plug in new, I don't know that there was any programing, but not sure.
