Hi all,
Just thought I'd post my experience on my blinker probs. Had the fast blink start a few weeks ago on driver side, so thought it was bulb(bulb WAS burnt out). Replaced that and still had no blinker and fast flash....Pass side worked still. Few weeks later, pass side starts the fast blink and is out too. Well, I fixed my driver's RV mirror yesterday and moved to investigating the blinker issue(thought it was for sure the dash switch). Pulled out pass bulb housing(thru brake duct method) and pulled bulb to look at it and contacts. My plastic housing is very brittle but still ok. Contacts were pushed back, so I took small screwdriver and bent them forward and also scraped a bit of light corrosion off them(used dremel to grind ever so slightly). Put bulb back in and "VOILA", everything is back to normal. So, pass side was A-ok after testing, but still had driver prob. Pulled that housing and did same thing to that side and "VOILA", back to normal with that blinker as well. So, if you are having issues with your turn signals, make sure to check contacts in socket housing for good solid connection, both physical and for corrosion prevention.
I had the "fast flash" on drivers side. Got caught in a heavy rain storm, and, suddenly I have "fast flash" on the pass side instead. Then, both signals worked normally. Then, both "fast flashed". A couple of days later, it went back to driver side. I slapped the nose near the signal with my hand, and voila', it started working normally. Was OK for about 2weeks, now back to drivers side again, or, neither side works at all. I just haven't taken the time to pull and check the sockets, but I'm guessing there lies my problem(s).
