Default 98 air bridge question

ok so here is my dilema... i currently have an aftermarket intake/ air bridge on my 98 coupe, since its a 98 i needed to drill the airbridge for the IAT to be fitted, by end of the month im doing an Ls2 MAF swap. so that will be the 3pin to 5 pin conversion eliminating the IAT sensors... my question is what do i do with the previous hole with the sensor, can i block it off and if i can how do i go about doing so? anyone else with an earlier model go through this? dont really want to spend on a newer model air bridge when mine is still good... thanks in advance !

No need to replace it, Just go down to the autoparts or hardware store and pick up a rubber plug/grommet for the size hole you have. you should be able to just birng the grommet you have now where the iat fits into and just tell them you need a plug in the similiar size. For added protection you can also silicone the plug in place as well. This will insure it doesn't fall out, but if you get a plug that fits tight it shouldn't be a problem.

Yep, I played that game before. Not hard to plug a hole. As mentioned, buy a rubber plug. Likely you will have to get a kit full of various sizes.

Yes I went to the 85mm maf. honestly its more trouble than its worth. You wont notice a difference by swapping it out and it takes some serious tuning to get it set up. Its nice, I guess, to know that theres more potential for air flow, but even on my heads, cam, intake, etc. car it really makes little to no difference. I think Ive read that the stock maf is good for 600ish hp. Im making 400 whp, so its not really necessary.

Thanks for the input, luckily I'm already scheduled for a dyno n tune and my tuner is pretty knowledgable so I figured might as we'll add it with the tune since everything cost me less than $150 for ls2 maf/ harness otherwise I would have held off till it was really necessary
