Default Padlets or pads

Looking for brake pads for C6 Z06 brakes. While searching they show padlets or pads.

Can you use either? Or are there certain calipers that use padlets.

FYI this is the C5 section.

You can use either or if the brand you are looking for makes a 1 piece pad. Our 1 piece pad is designed to drop into the caliper and still maintain all the original hardware of the caliper. Take a look at the Carbotech 1521 pad we make both 1 piece and padlets. I will be happy to help you. Please call me at 216-780-8825 to order.

The Carbotech™ 1521™ is our high performance street compound. The 1521™ compound is known for its release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. 1521™ is also a very low dusting and low noise compound with an excellent initial bite. This compound's excellent linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Carbotech™ 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 800°F (426°C+). 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle or fleet vehicle. Carbotech™ 1521™ is NOT recommended for ANY track use.

I'm also getting ready to put c6z brakes on my c5z, I opted for the 1 piece pad... apparently the pins that hold the pads/padlets in place are prone to loosening up and if one falls out and you have padlets then it can completely fall out and cause the piston to pop out of the caliper and damage your rotor... if this happened with a 1 piece pad you would definitely know something was not right but the pad can't fall out and it would cause far less damage... I went with hawk performance ceramic pads fwiw

1 piece pad is going to give you better performance on track. If your looking for a track pad I would use the Carbotech XP10 front and XP8 rear. A lot of people run this combo with great results on street tires.
