I can say without a doubt.... Yes.
I had to this for a short spell just last week. Had no problems what so ever.
I did wrap the BVMP thingy with tin foil and I stuck the loose electrical ends in baggies and cable tied them shut just to keep the dust out. It didnt even throw the normal codes it has for the last 6 months
