What's does everyone recommend for an air intake for a c5 using a nw 102/fast 102. I want as little restriction as possible. Throwing around the idea of SD tuning it. I was looking at the halltech killer bee conversion intake.
I wouldnt remove the MAF. What mods are done to the car? (What cam specs, heads, Pistions, ect...? reason i ask is just because you have a 102 TB/Intake doesnt mean your maxing out your MAF or intake, now if you have large port heads, big lumpy cam and what not then you might benifit from a upgraded intake. It would require a tune but you can upgrade to a LS7 style MAF (not a housing like ours, just plugs into the intake tube). as for Haltech, it looks to be a nice setup.. its one of the few i would replace my setup with that came on the car... that or the Callaway Honker.
I'm currently in the middle of the build. I want to have the whole intake tract taken care of. The 102 is getting sent to mamo. I'm going to go with a custom specd cam from pat g and afr heads. I'm a fan of the halltech and the card style maf I'm just not seeing the almost 600 bucks it goes for.

It includes the MAF as well. It's a quality piece. They will send you some new flow tables to get your tune started, or you can go to www.Powrmax.com and copy their's. The powermax tables are more comprehensive and have higher initial resolution. Go to their website and click on "PowerMAF 100 Tables".
