Hmm, FSM shows Org/Blk and Yel/Blk wires going to Trans Temp Sensor, but you say it's plugged in too?

Just checked your profile, is this a ZO6? if so, you should have 4 plugs on the Trans/Diff
(1) Reverse Inhibit Solenoid
(2) Skip Shift Solenoid
(3) Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)
(4) Tran Temp Sensor

Z06 trans is an M12, not MN6, and should have 4 plugs:

1. Skip shift
2. Backup lights
3. Reverse lockout
4. Trans temp

Is that the original transmission in the car?

That's why I'm thinking it's not the original transmission, as the fill-port does not have the temp sensor installed. It has the regular fill-port plug like the non-Z06 cars.

You can see it in his picture here:

No it's not the original trans. So the mn6 doesn't have the temp sensors?

The MN6 Trans will only have the Temp sensor installed on Export C5's only. As you have the Z06 with the wiring for this Temp Sensor, you may want to consider installing this Temp Sensor...

No. Not the U.S. units. Only export cars.

In the U.S., M12s all have it as that's the Z06 transmission. The gear ratios 1 thru 4 are different than the MN6 trans also.

Buy a sensor, screw it in and plug up your connector. Btw, the sensor does not give you actual temps readings. It only causes a "Trans Overtemp" warning to display on your DIC if the trans overheats.

HTH

Item # 5:

GM part number 12451818. The ACDelco part number is the same.
