I think the temp sensor has gone bad. Yesterday it said the ext temp was 66f but I know it was much hotter. It worked for about two minutes and climbed up to 103f then went back to 66f. Where exactly is it located and would anyone happen to have the part number?
Thanks,
Steve
The sensor is located below the passenger headlight area. If you look under the front bumper before the air dam, it's a little nub protruding from the right side of the radiator air cavity.
Try unplugging it, spraying with some silicone and replugging. Open the hood and raise the headlights. You should be able to reach down along the inboard side of the passenger headlight. The connector is way down near the bottom panel of the cavity. You could just have some moisture causing a bad contact. Worst case is the contacts have already corroded and it'll have to be replaced.
