Default I need help w/ a part number...

Hello Everyone,

I'm ready to place an order for all the parts I'll need to install the stronger axles in my differential.

I've got the whole list, axles, gear, belleville washers, o rings, output shaft seals....but I CANNOT find the part number for the INPUT shaft seal. This is the seal at the front of the differential, that seals the INPUT shaft to the differential.

I've scoured ALL of the normal places, still no joy.

Can ANYONE give me a helping hand?

Thanks!
Jon

Ok.
I assume you are speaking of the round 6" aluminum inset to the rear of the differential (seal Plate) that has a center (metal) seal & also the large rubber O ring that goes around the circumference of the 6" seal plate.

Hmmmm.....

I'm talking about the only seal on the front of the differential. This is the seal that seals the transmission shaft where it goes INTO the diff. The OD is about 1 3/4", the ID is about 1".

Thanks,
Jon

I'm most sure you are referring to the A-4 seal plate.
It is a 6" aluminum plate (seal plate to differential case) O ring & also steel seal where the rear trans shaft slides into.

That seal plate is removable.
Here is a link that has the proceedure & part numbers.
