2002 spring problem Z06
Hi guys am seeing some nice 2002 Z06:s that don't seem to be moving -reason appears to be they never changed the lousy valve springs.What is the general cost of new springs and what is the cost to install.Also what does it take to install these yourself? thanks,Will

easy to do. I would expect a shop to charge 4-500 labor. its easy to do.. you will need a Spring removal tool for LS1 (~$100), A fitting to pump up the cyl via the spark plug hole (obviously a air compressor) (~$20-$50), Valve cover gaskets, Magnet (to ketch Valve retainer Locks) and new springs. there is a HOW TO here if you search. not hard to do if you are a little mechanically inclined.

if you are stock cam then run the updated OEM Spring. or aftermarket stock/close to stock spring pressues.. heavier springs could cause premature failure/wear on other parts of the motor.
