My car has been parked about three weeks in the garage. Tried to start and nothing, not a sound. Replaced the almost 4yr old battery and still nothing. I'm not an electrical guy so I'm not sure where to go from here. I've had no previous trouble with it in the three plus years I've owned it and being electrically challenged I'm thinking my only option is calling my buddy who owns a rollback and off to the repair shop.
Does the dash power up when you turn the key on? if no then you need to look at the connections again or maybe lost a ground cable connection. Check fuses as well.
IF the dash powers on then might be a starter failure. if it does nothing it might indicate a Starter Sol. Failure. Mechanics have a tool to jump the power to the starter to test it or if you remove the started a parts store can test it.
Might also be a Ignition failure. seen that a couple times on here posted up. might search for it on the forum.
My guess is a bad starter solenoid, electonics can be funny and either work or not... sometimes work off and on.. I hate electronics problems.. most places wont sell the solenoid. you can get them online, parts stores will want to sell you a complete starter... $30 vs $200. Search my name and Starter as the key work and you will find a few posts about the solenoid.

I have the same issue. Just trying to find the time to put the starter thats in the box in the front seat actually in the car for real! I use a broomstick and a flashlight to give the solenoid a few quick taps (kinda hard) and it starts right up.
I remembered reading something on CF about key chips sometime ago so on a whim I tried the key on the extra set and the car starts right up. Someone explain that one.
I want an extra key so looks like I'll be heading to my Chevy dealership Monday. Funny it was only about three weeks ago the soldered connections broke on my other key fob, now this. Oh well Vette got a new battery for Christmas. And by the way, thanks for the quality answer and offer to help, I appreciate CF and the good guys on here every day. Safe holidays.

If you head to the dealership to get a key, you either have money to burn, or didn't read 8vette7's post, or both.
