Default Installing the Depo projector beam kits

Anyone care to fill me in on what all that's involved in removing and replacing the OE flip up lights, with the Depo projector beam kits? In every kit I find on ebay, they say that installation instructions are not included???? It can't be that hard to remove the OE light buckets, and install the new lights...I'm more interested in anyone that would care to share any tips they ran across while doing it install.

Also, some of the kits say that you have to modify the new lights to use your existing HID bulbs. Is there truth to this, or are they wanting to sell you their HID bulbs???
TIA

Easy job, you need 2 people to do it quick. One under the car and the other outside lining them up so the person under can tighten the bolts.
Mine came with normal bulbs, but I went to an auction site and bought HID's for low, high and yellow fog lights. I also bought the kit that keeps the High, low, and fog on when you have the high beams on. With all 6 on at night it lights up everything in front of you.
There is no way you will want to go back to normal bulbs.
I will give you a tip, you need to seal up the 12v electrical connections to the ballasts because if not they will start giving you problems. I use clear silicone sealant.

Thanks for the info!
Are you happy with the quality, fit, and overall appearance? Do the HID bulbs drop right in with no mods needed? What HID bulb do we use for the high beams?

I am pretty sure they were H7 bulbs for high and low, I used 5000 Degrees for low and 6000 Degrees for high. The hid bulbs fit in just like a normal bulb. You do have to mount the ballasts, I put mine under the light out of sight which became a pain when the 12v connections started messing up. If you seal them up you will not have a problem.
I originally had the large ballasts which had seperate metal brackets for mounting but swapped them for the slim which are much easier to hide and have holes in them to mount them without brackets.

Just be sure the female plugs are tight before final install. each time you unplug them they loosen a bit. I used a small precision straight screwdriver and inserted a bit of aluminum foil on the side of one of mine that was not getting good contact. The connections from the bulb to the ballasts have never given any problems.

If you go with 55 watt HID's you may want to either add a relay kit or change your fuse to a 30 amp. They pull more power to start them but use much less than normal bulbs after the initial start-up

Use normal high beams if you do nt get the kit to allow the low to stay on with the high because it takes 15-30 seconds for them to come to full brightness when cold.

A vendor here sold me the kit 3/4 years ago I am not sure if he still does if not it is hard to make your own with a few fuse taps and common relays for fog lights..
