Re: Anyone know anything about these wheels? (Sir Sel)
Those are definitely sweet!
Fikse are only SLIGHTLY cheaper than HREs. Basically you get their machine polished centers for free, while HRE charges for the High Polish.. Other than that, they are very close in price.

Nice looking wheels :) I fell in love with my HRE's the second I saw them. Not cheap, but hell I can't take the money with me when I take a dirt nap so what the hell  :D

I have 16K miles on my FM5's and you might want to compare weight if your into weight savings as the Fikse's are Forged aluminum and @ one time they were the lightest 3-piece modular aftermarket wheel for the C5. Go http://www.fikse.com :D  :flag

Oh ... I know that Fikses are lighter and even stronger in some cases ...LPE said that the wheels are not yet available .. so I plan to wait ... I plan to get 19x11 and 18x10 ... in the polished finish as soon as it come out ...
Re: Anyone know anything about these wheels? (449pacecar)
Fikse's are generally cheaper than HRE's ... plus they are made in the USA!!!
 HRE's are made in the US as well, southern California to be exact. :yesnod:
Sweet wheel design. :yesnod:
Yeah ... I just came to find out that ... HRE is made in the US ... their ful name made me think otherwise ...
While the 547's are one of the coolest wheels out there ... the Fikse is pretty damn good looking ... and their projected cost is about 600 less than HRE's in the same size ...
Re: Anyone know anything about these wheels? (NewVetteLover)
These are pics of some new Fikse's I just saw on LPE's site ...
OMG, that is a tyte looking wheel!! :yesnod: When my C5 gets a stable mate, that is what is going on it. Yes they do look similar to the HRE design, but the hidden bolt style is what I love about Fikse's. I bet those new Fikse's would look GREAT in white!
I am planning on 18x9.5 up front and either 19's or 18's out back ... the price is for a polished wheel ... no clear coat ... just the way I want them !!!
The Same sizes in HRE 547 from LPE for comparision:
19x11 ~$1136 Rear? (184 more)
18x11 ~$1033 Rear? ( 158 more)
18x9.5 ~$998 ... fronts ... (198 more)
these are polished prices ...
So the Fikses are lighter and considerably cheaper in any combo :smash:

Hmmmmm ... color matched wheels ... thats cool .... on 2 colors ... white and black ... might not work for me on Mag Red  ... I think that white will look killer!!
