differential tag marking

Got a question on why some of the 3.42 differentials don't have it stamped on the small tag like like others do?

Hmm, I think they all do have the tag, some performance/aftermarket units do not. I may be wrong, just going by memory.

Yes I know they all have the tag but some 3.42 differentials have it stamped in the top right corner and other 3.42 diffs. don't have the 3.42 stamped on the tag,could it be that the older differentials did not hve it stamped on the tag.

Since only the Z06 diffs had factory shot-peened gears, maybe their marking(s) were different than the others. Dunno.
I'm sure RPM would know.
