My AC drain must have gotten clogged because it is pouring water out into the passenger kickboard. I can't find the drain plug though to unclog it. Should i get it from the inside of the car or from under the car? Where is it and what does it look like?
The drain hose is located under the hood on the passenger side at the firewall. I had the dealer do the work on mine so that is all the info I can provide. Someone else will chime in later. :yesnod:
The drain hose is a major pain-in-the-**** to get to....especially if you have big hands.
You get to it from above, on the passenger side of the car. It is located on the firewall.....right about the point where the "head" meets the firewall....behind some pipes/hoses/etc.
It is a right-angle rubber hose, about 1/2" O.D.....with a small hole/slit on the "draining end".
You can just pull it off....getting it back on is a chore. Note that it needs to be angled-down correctly when re-installing!
I had pretty good luck unclogging it by simply pinching the hose near the elbow. Actually, my hands were too big to pull it off and I could only get enough finger on it to pinch... Water gushed out the hose when I did this, and a nasty chunck of white stuff came out of the hose.
I had the same thing happen - the water entered the computer compartment in the passenger footwell, ruining the computer and immobilizing the car. I was out-of-state, driving on vactation and was stranded for five days. It was fixed under the new car warrany, but it is a very common defect (one of many!) on the C5.
Good luck.

Someone recently posted a close-up picture of the general area of the drain tube. Might give "search" a try. Maybe the poster will put it up again for those who missed it.
HI there,
Actually, there are 2 drain tubes, not just one.
You see, the cause of this issue, is NOT just the one located by the firewall, although sometimes this one clogs.
For 93 % of the ones in our shops, it is the outer cowl drain, located behind the right front fender, that caused the issue.
This drain, which goes directly to the cowl inlet, gets clogged with leaves twigs, branches, and the like. It is only 2 inches in diameter, with a slight close at the bottom.
When this drain clogs, the water backs up in the cowl for the fresh air, and then over the fresh air door, and all over the passenger rug, and toe board electical center.
To access this drain, you can just remove the passenger side inner fender, and squeeze it open. It is just in between the vacuum reservoir, and the PCM fixture.
I would also check this.
