Default Padft first gen coil overs

Picked up a set of these , one shock the lower ring the spring sits on had come loose and I'm wondering if there is a preload to the spring from the factory, or just snug the collar up to the spring and cars weight is the preload

Yes, there is an as delivered preload as I recall from personal use. Contact Pfadt as they are most helpful on this subject. My experience regarding their customer service has been excellent. Good luck...

I actually seem to remember that they came with no pre-load.
Better ask Pfadt to be sure.

Hmmm... Well the other 3 shocks the collar is good and tight, and the spring has play in it. Not tight at all, talkin with body guy/mechanic he thinks the cars weight could be the preload.

But yeah I'll get with padft and get a answer on it.

With everything bolted on, snug the spring up, and set the ride height by adjusting shock body adjustment
