Default Engine light on

I recently installed dual cone air intake on my 2004 and after driving it
For about 500 miles the engine light comes intermittently. After taken it to the dealer they found codes po171 and po174. They checked and could not find a reason for it. Has anyone come across this problem? What can I do to correct this?

Check all the connections after the MAF to insure clamps are tight and that there are NO air leaks. Also check the hoses for the PCV system. They are known to crack and crumble from heat, time and oil. Repair or replace as needed.
Thanks for the quick answer. I will check the connections.

8VETTE7 is absolutely correct. If not in his info remember to read your codes while the car is still running or else all the codes will show history (H) versus those that are current (C) and need to be certainly addressed. Being able to read your own codes on the C5 is a great feature. GM deleted this ability on the C6 and C7.

I too have a dual cone intake and even though my clamps were tight I took the Y pipe off and found the pipe was dented where the clamp wasn't sealing the pipe. Check for dents in the pipe and make sure your pipe is fully round.

Hope you found the problem with intake fit issues, if not and those 2 codes are setting in cold weather, its possible that they are unrelated to your intake install and just the intake gaskets leaking at the head, also new filters sometimes shed oil and fibers onto the maf filaments causing a skewed reading, clean it by carefully lightly spraying a cleaner, (throttle body cleaner worked on mine) if you get too aggressive cleaning it you can damage the sensor, just a light spray then let it dry.
