installed new window regulator but can not get it adjusted, it binds up against the front weather stripping and I have run out of ideas on how to fix it, I have tried adjusting the tip out, but it only seems to change the location of the rear of the window, but not the front.
Search the forum. There are a few posts on how to do this. I recommend removing the door panel and moisture barrier . There are about three ways to adjust the window. 1. The (I think they are called inverse torx ) adjustment screws on the carrier brackets. 2. The carrier brackets themselves. 3. The mounting screws for the regulator.
The window can move up/down, front/back and tip in/out.
It's a trial and error process. Don't put the door panel back on until you have driven it a couple of times to check for wind noise. Also, hose it down to check for leaks.
Good Luck
All is well, finally got it adjusted, got rid of the binding by lowering glass in rear and raising in front, got it where it was centered in the space. hit it with a water hose and water every where, finally got the top of the window tipped in enough to stop the leaks, also used the minor adjustment to raise the window tight against the weather stripping. But, got all back together and sitting on the work bench are two rubber access plugs, so now the inside panel has to come back off. grrrr.
there are 5 plugs, one on the bottom, and the other 4 are behind the inside panel towards the top of the door, two in each corners so you can make adjustments with the window in the up position.
