Default PLEASE HELP me identify unknown fluid

I have been cleaning up a few odds and ends on my car over the last couple weeks, one of which was adjusting the exhaust tips and attempting to fix a minor exhaust leak. I went to get under the car this morning to reinstall the exhaust and when I pulled out my creeper, which has been sitting under the car for a week, I noticed a handful of drops of fluid on there. After looking around under the car, I noticed fluid on the torque tube at both the front and rear of the car. So since the exhaust is already out I just pulled off the tunnel plate. Well I found that there are droplets of fluid all along the torque tube.

What could this be? I looked at all the lines running along the side of the tunnel and none had any sort of moisture build up. I also noticed that there is condensation on the tunnel itself up above the torque tube.

My thought is it’s just water condensation collecting in the tunnel and dripping onto the torque tube and running down BUT the fluid has a yellow tint to it so I’m not too sure about that. Is there another line above the torque tube that I can’t see? What else could be the source of this fluid?

There is one aftermarket braided fuel line running down the tunnel.

The car has been sitting and has not started for 3 weeks now. Of the hours I have spent under the car during those three weeks, there has never been any sign of this fluid until today.

The fluid is odorless but sure does NOT taste like water.

I stuck a level on the torque tube and the rear is slightly higher than the front so I don’t think it’s fluid from the engine working its way down the length of the tube.

Any ideas?

looks like condensation to me, possibly mixed with a little road salt dust.

That's my thought too, just want to make sure I'm not missing another possible source.

I would rinse it off and dry it good, leave the tunnel plate off for a few days and the check it again but I think you will find that it was just condensation it looks like you have a little white residue possibly salt or a little of that liquid road de-icer they use on bridges, if MD. is anything like WI. they spray that crap on the road well before the first snow.... Good Luck..
