Default O2 Sensor Connections

Hello All, been a long time since I've been here.

Are the front and rear O2 sensor connectors different making it impossible to connect them wrong (idiot proof).

Or are they the same??

Now I am getting O2 sensor error codes and the car runs horribilly rough and nearly stalls. So hooking up from front to rear connection possibility has been eliminated.

What else could it be? Is it possible to connect wrong from side to side? I don't think the wires are long enough to cause that to happen. If I remember they cross the exhaust pipe to the opposite side for the connection.

Or are they so sensitive that removing them and bouncing them around a bit damaged them?

wrong from side-to-side would definitely create some serious running issues. Depending on your headers, its hard for me to say if its possible or not. It should be a quick check
