Default Planning out my first stroker

Well, I thought I'd start getting some parts together for a stroker for my DD 2005 goat (LS2). Stock motor has 120k on it. Nothing wrong with it right now. I'd like to prep a nice little 408 iron block for it that would make a nice, lazy 425-450 whp with 11:1 cr and cleaned up stock heads, very mild cam. I'm thinking that doing some work myself and waiting for some strategic parts specials I can do this relatively inexpensively. So far my list looks like this:

LQ9 block
balanced rotating assembly 4.0/6.125, Eagle or TSP maybe?
H series bearings
ARP main/head bolts
918 Valve springs
Reusing newish LS7 lifters and trays
stock water pump
melling oil pump?
1 3/4 headers
baby cam

What do I need as far as fueling goes? I've never speced a cam for a motor this big, but I want it to have a wide, usable powerband, perfectly willing to sacrifice peak hp for power under curve and torque. I put a little 220/220 114+3 .581/.581 in my stock cube stock head ls1 camaro and I loved it. Something like that pumped up for more cubes. Are the rings that come with most balanced kits ok? I guess it would be easier with a FAST intake, but I'm not adding $1k to my build just for that with these goals in mind. How does preliminary planning look? I'm going to build as much of it myself as I can, since I can take my time and there is no hurry with it. Should be fun! lol

I'll be following along since I'm looking to do something similar with my 2000 C5. Since I need a new short block I'm thinking 402 LS2. Looking to be as smooth and quiet at idle with 450 rwhp.

LQ9 for cost, not strength.

As far as fueling I'd say 42lb injectors should get you by just fine. I would imagine with your stated goals that the stock fuel pump should hold up just fine. I'm shooting for north of 550rwhp on a 408 stroker and it wasn't until I got north of 500rwhp that I started to worry about a new pump. My stroker build has been through a few changes since I started.
I see you are in GA. My car is currently being built by Spartan Performance and they are located in Dacula. Josh is a sponsor on this forum and I highly recommend his work. He is the only guy I let work on my Vette and GTO and I drive from Nashville.

I drive from Nashville to Lamar Walden automotive, in Doraville, ga to build my engine, Which is a408

Stock water pump should be fine, and you can port your stock oil pump. But they aren't that expensive anyway to upgrade

Buddy pointed me to this thread given I have a 402 stroker in my C6. Then I saw the LWA mention and couldn't help myself so I have to throw in my .02 as well but only if welcomed.

See my sig for the strongest NA 402ci ever built.

I know a few guys that use Spartan and have G8's but still think LWA is the best option. Again, just my .02 on the topic.

Well then I guess you've seen my car. It's the black Z that's on the lift in the corner with a pile of goodies on the table next to it.

Haha. Didn't know my busted up Achilles was making news at Spartan. It's coming along. I can walk and drive just fine, but no running or jumping yet.
I think a bunch of Josh's customers should all get together at some point. I think it'd be a good time. That and we could terrorize the streets of Dacula.
