An FLP level IV trans or a Rossler 4L60e trans, and why? I see that quite a few people use the FLP's, but LPE and several other big boys use Rosslers. I was just asking before dropping some big coin on one.
I've seen a LOT of people advertizing the success of the FLP unit here. Somehow or another though, the Rossler unit is holding up behind LPE's TT 151 mph 1/4 mile street killer.
I doubt you'll go wrong either way. The FLP unit has a great track record that's been documented by the internet community on several boards. (They also mention a few "also ran" names.) Often the Big Boys are not active internet community members so Rossler doesn't get a lot of air play, but I think you'll find their track record is backed up too.
When rebuilding my 4L60E we used many hi performance parts fron the FLP unit as well as the Raptor transmission. Believe it or not there are even a few GM parts that are actually very reliable as well. I customized my trans with the best available from several sources and so far ...no problems.
