I live in SE Arizona. Most of the year our grass (when you can find some) is about as volitile as gun powder. I read some where (owners manual?) that the Corvette has the potential to start a grass fire due to hot exhaust / catalytic converter. It would seem unlikely to me except that when living in Florida a friend started a fire with his car, which sat higher above the ground. A police car investigating the fire did the same thing.
It's a problem with any car with cats they get really hot. The fact that a vette sits low to the ground makes it more likely to cause the grass to burn
