I have tried turning off the active handling and have tried putting it into competitive mode. Still no wheel spin. It seems like the car performs well except that I think it should be able to spin it’s wheels.
The only performance mod that I have is a Blackwing.
The Computer Management program wont let you "burn off the tires" on your automatic... If you get over zealous with a 6 speed it too intrudes on your good time... :(
Maybe some of the A4 Gurus will post here and enlighten you with more tech info as to why that is the case. :yesnod:

Re: Can't spin my tires? (vetterdstr)
If you turn off the traction control and AH, you will be able to spin your tires. (If your car is making enough HP)
My guess is that you may have the 2.73 rear in your A4, thus making it tough to spin your tires, even from a stop.
When I had my 2.73s, sometimes I could not even spin them. The solution is more mods... First thing I would do is a gear and converter change at the same time to save on labor costs. The gears will really help and the converter will turn your car into a monster.
You will be able to spin your tires no problem with just those 2 mods (along with a computer program for the gear change).
Hope this helps and go to http://www.converter.cc for some info on torque converters if you are not familiar with them.
My car had 3.15 gears and I could not spin the tires when I first got my car. I changed the converter and went to 3.42 gears now I can roast the tires at will even from a roll.
ok danielsan! :D when i first got my C5 too with 3:15 gears i could not spin them either. all u need is 3:42 gears and a nice 3000 stall TC and u will burn them up. i wish i had traction NOW!!! was at e-town today spinning out my drags radials all the way through even in second gear. managed one 11.8 with a 1.8 60ft.
don't look forward too much into killing ur $300 plus @ rear tires either
Check the codes on the Service Parts Identification tag under the rear center hatch cover. Look for Code G90= 3.15 rear. Code for 2.73 rear is GU2. Hope that helps....
Buzzme, The code for 3.15s is G92 not G90, I am not sure what it is for 2.73s. In 97-98 Vettes check the under side of the cover for the passenger side storage compartment check and see if G92 is among the codes. In later Vettes look inside the glove box for the codes. If you have the use of a lift check the serial # on the rear if it has an " A" in the number it is a 2.73 rear if it has a "C" it is a 3.15 rear if it has a "B" you have hit the jack pot the rear is a 3.42.
Actually my car has both codes. I don't know why they separate the codes but they're both on my Service ID. According to a 1998 Corvette C5 Production listing that I have the G90 code is for Rear Axle Ratio - 3.15 and G92 is for Rear Axle Ratio - Performance, GU2 is for 2.73, and GU6 is for 3.42 .
I have 3.15, PL and Vortex. Need to involve the brakes to get the desired effect! Only hear tires at WOT going into second or with downstifts at higher rpms. Look at it this way, you are saving valuable rubber!
