I put Redline in the rear end ( of the car  ) along with the GM friction modifier and it chatters bad !!! Should I add more modifier to stop the chatter ??
Red Line 75W90 rear axle lubricant and the GM "Additive" are not compatible. Mixing of the two usually causes trouble.
Drain the diff and fill it with new Red Line 75W90, then road test the car. If you have limited slip chatter, add half a bottle of Red Line Friction Modifier. If you still have chatter add the rest.
The proper road test for limited slip chatter is to, first drive the car 10 miles to fully warm the axle, then find a parking lot and drive in tight circles at low speed. If you hear a squealing of chatter from the axle, use RL FM. If you don't do not add any FM.

Redline already has FM, you didn't need to add the GM FM. You can drain and try just Redline, if problem continues, go back to GM Syn with GM FM added.
I am using the redline 75-90 with no additives and no problems.
Are you using the right version of redline? Redline has a NS version that is for old diffs or track use.

I think I am having the same problem right now on my 98 feels like it is rubbing when I make tight turns into parking spots ect. I just changed my fluid I think it is time again. :smash:

Good info! I've been using RL's 75W90 for over a year on my daily driver with no problems of any kind.
When i did mine w/ redline it chattered even tho it said it had modifier in it .Then I added GM modifier and it still chattered.? Now I have Mobil 1 and Gm modifier and no problems.
Dealer changed fluid (Mobil1/GM additive) due to a seal R&R under warranty. Three weeks later, the chatter returned. I switched to AMSOIL 2000 and walla, chatter was gone. :yesnod:
