Climate Control Problem
I just purchased a 98 coupe with 47K miles and have the following issues with the climate control:
- Climate control display is black not just dim.
- I have full heat on all setting.
- AC compressor will not come on, light blinks a couple of times when you push the AC button.
- It will change modes (floor, dash and defrost) but still full heat.
I have searched the forum for solutions but could not find the same issues. thanks in advance.

I am surprised you did not find at least 2 dozen hits on the HVAC display and fix. I had to do that on mine since it was black also, not just dim. Here is one of them I used.

If compressor not coming on might be low on freon or something wrong with compressor. Pull code to see if compressor issue. Have a pressures checked to see if low on freon.
