Default Radio not turning on

I replace the battery on my 2002 corvette and the stock Delco radio will not come on. It works before. It doesn't display the LOC on the screen. What causing it not to work anymore. Thanks

What weird is the clock showing time but cannot play radio or CD. So I don't think it the fuse but I'll check it.

If not a fuse issue then disconnect the battery negative cable for few minutes and reconnect to see if that corrects it. It also could just be a random failure of the radio.

I have a spare good working radio (cassette) I removed to put in a CD radio. As a last resort I would be glad to loan/ship it to you to test to see if your radio just decided to go "South".

As for the key fobs, try holding the Lock and Unlock buttons down for about 15-20 sec at the same time.. They probably need to be re-synced. and obviously check all fuses

Got my radio/cd to work by inserting a cd in it. Afterward, you enter the theft code.

Never heard of that. Did you just stumble onto it or did you read about it?

Default It worked

After messing around for hours and getting nowhere I inserted a CD viola the radio works, CD works and all functios work except it is always on when the ignition switch is on. Now if I could get it to respond to the on off switch I would be happy. I got a code from the internet and am trying t figure out how to enter it. any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated.

Novice, I don't think we're physic and I know I am not. Is there some secret on where you got the code and what is that you can share?

PS: I would also be interested if you have any DIC trouble codes. Also, I might recommend you disconnect the battery for a few minutes and see if it self corrects.

My wife (ex school teacher) went on the internet and researched found a site that gave her a number to call, then the instructions got crazy complicated but she persisted and we were able to pull two codes from the radio (not the dic) they were 732 and 783 I think, when we followed ilnstructions on the site they gave me a code of 1852, I have not figured how to use this yet but the radio stays on until I open the door and then it turns off. When the key is on acces or full on the radio plays the CD works THe changer in the trunk works etc. I know this is not valulable untill I can post the web address and I will as soon as she comes back. However I got no codes at all on the dic after deleting them all and then driving the car for a while, I pulled the codes again and got nothing, I then took the car for a drive and it just quit gave me the message that the traction control needed servicing so I limped home at 5mph reduced engine power. Parked the car and got Pissed sat there a while tried to pull codes. and got 16PCM P 1518 H and 28 tcs C1278 h. Turned the key off fretted for about 5 minutes and the car started, no codes and runs like new, radio still won't turn off unless I open the door. I cannot get the web site right now but all it did was give her the phone number which is800 532 5140 It somehow tells you too many tries but if you persist you can get a code. I will ask her to write a better set of instructions and post them soon. The website she found was http//www.digitalcorvette.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1715401 That is it. hope

I had same issue but sluffed it off until I read this thread. I disconnected my negative post to install the LCM5 and when I reconnected it the radio wouldn't work and since the radio sounds like junk anyway I always just listen to CD's so I pushed one in and all is well. Go figure these vette electronics

Default 2003 z06 volume problems with the stock radio

I am wondering if anyone has experienced this problem. My 2003 Z06 radio has hardly any sound coming from the speakers. The cd player works but again hardly any sound is coming out of the speakers when the volume is turned all the way up. The radio was working fine the day before. Any help would be appreciated!

To dadaroo, I have or had no ill intention of high jacking a thread. I am 53 years old, a new member, with limited computer skills. I have a problem with my stereo in my newly acquirred z06. I was simply asking a question. I know that some people my say that I should not be on the site because of limited navigational skills and if that is the case, so be it. Just imagine being in my shoes. It is challanging! If I offended someone or broke a rule I am sorry. Respectfully, giberz06.

Giberz don't worry about it, keep posting, that is how we learn. I have been scolded a few times for violating the rules mainly due to me not knowing the rules.

Default Might be your Ignition Switch

I had persistent P1518 code with crank but no start. Probed BCM, TAC, TB, TPS, all wires going to and from same, replaced TAC. Still no start. Finally replaced Ignition Switch, With the number of codes you are getting consider the Ignition Switch. PITA to change but was necessary in my instance.
