My car is a 2000 frc. Floor soak passenger and driver side. Every time it rains or I wash my car. I read the sticky for newbies but that didn't help me at all. Can anyone help me!?!? And will a car cover help at all?
IIRC there is a drain under the windshield cowl and it gets plugged and causes the water to leak into the car... A car cover might slow it down if the cover is water resistant but if water gets past the cover you will see the same thing on a smaller scale.
Might consider removing some of the trim and peeling the carpet back to mop up under the floor so you dont get a musty moldy smell in the car.. My bonneville leaked around the door and there was probably a gallon of standing water on the floor as well as soaking wet padding under the carpet, a strong wet vac will NOT get all the water out. I pulled back the carpet and put a couple fans in the car under the carpet to help dry up the matting. lol infact i took out the front and rear seat to get it all the way up and dry.... PAIN in the ***! my spare tire well was also filled so the trunk leaked as well, a drill bit and some new weather stripping fixed the trunk.

had to replace the weather stripping on my FRC. it was leaking in from the top-rear corners of the door opening & running down the inside trim panels.
best way to diagnose your car is to gut the interior panels, headliner, seats, carpet, etc, and sit inside while somebody runs a hose-pipe over it. then watch where the water comes from.
Clean out the "udders".
Three of them. They are the drains from the wiper area.
Also, check the electrical box behind the passenger carpet for moisture, if you have wet carpets, the box may be getting wet too.
