Default Problem with LED Halo-modded brake lights...

Some relevant background info...

The car came with European tail lights (red/amber) and the harness for them. I uninstalled the harness based on the directions I found here...
http://64.209.142.240/faq/tutorials/eurolights.htm

I then installed the LED halo taillights and everything on them works...

-the Halo rings light up when I turn the parking/headlights on
-the centers flash when I put the hazards/turn signals on (however the turn signals hyperflash, which I know I can buy a harness for)

-except the centers don't light up when I touch the brake pedal (however the center/5th brake light does work - and flashes multiple times then goes solid)

Anyone experienced this? It seems weird to me that the centers don't light up with the brake pedal, because they light up when I turn on a turn signal, so they do work, they're just not getting the brake signal evidently? However the brakes lit up the old tails just fine.

The only thing I can think might cause this is there is a section in the directions I posted above about cutting a wire under the dash/steering wheel? Is that possibly where my problem is? If not, what else might it be?

I have the LED Halo's and there was no cutting any wires I did have to install the Hyper Flash Harness, but anyway the stock tail light brake light turn signal used a dual filament bulb with a single bulb harness not a two bulb system as the euro's are I think the wire that was cut under your dashboard fooled it into thinking it was two different circuits, I'm betting that if you spice that wire together you will be fine

Reverse the directions open the closeout panel on the drivers side to the left of the steering wheel, the directions state that you would have cut the white wire on the brake pedal switch as long as it wasn't snipped with no stub at the switch it should be fairly easy to find the other end, should be near by

I agree, cutting that white wire is normal for the Euro retrofit install. Hopefully reconnecting that will solve your mystery.

Thanks folks. Will attempt to find and reconnect the wire today after work.
Glad this thing isn't my DD

Just wanted to update this for continuity's sake...

Finally got to it today after work, reconnected the wire that was cut under the dash, and sure enough, it did light up the center sections when I hit the brakes with no issue.
