Default About to make some changes. Ls6 intake question.

My car is currently at my tuner/builder waiting to have my freshly done TSP stage 1 ls6 heads installed along with injectors. I have long tubes, tsp 233/239 cam and normal bolt ons. I also have an ls6 intake manifold with home polished tb. The car made 408 rwhp with stock 853 heads and the ls6 manifold. How much am I leaving on the table by not switching to a fast intake? Should I wait until I get the fast intake (which I can't afford at this time) or should I See decent gains even with the ls6 intake? Is it worth only doing heads at this time?

From what I have read its not worth the upgrade. However I have no actual experience with it

Maybe 20rwhp. In a $/hp analysis, not worth it at all. However, if you don't mind the cost then go for it. You'd gain even more on the FAST if you ported it

Thanks for the info. I am thinking maybe this could be next years mod. I just don't want the heads to seem like a waste.

I ordered my fast 92 from Peak Port Shop yesterday. Going with the ported fast 92 and sent my ls2 tb in to be ported too.

Current mods are

AI 226cc LS6 heads
231/236 camshaft
Headers
UD balancer
BPP intake with duct

Keep an eye out I will post results once the snow melts and I finish my tune.

Did you gain the 23 going from LS6 intake to a fast? Or LS1 to fast?

I've been told around 20rwhp on my setup.

CNC'd 243 heads by rpm-motors, Milled, 5-angle valve job, 222/228 LSA 115, PAC 1518 springs, ATI 10% UD, ARH headers

Made 452/410 thru the stock LS6 TB and intake
