I am a new Vette owner and I was wondering what all do I need to do to lower my 97 about an inch? Nothing too dramatic, just want it a little lower to take up some of that fender gap. I have heard that you can adjust the stock suspension to get it lowered up to an inch. If so, how? I am not sure which suspension package I have either. Does that matter? If so, how can I find out? TIA everyone.
If you just want an inch, skip the part on cutting the bushings. If you turn the bolts as they say you should get roughly an inch drop. I am thinking about doing this soon..... :)
Re: What does it take to lower a C5? (ChevyChadZ28)
About an hour of work on a good day. :yesnod: Seriously, most of the cars that we drop, we do not cut the bushings. Very rarely to we have someone come back to go lower.
Good luck,

Out of curiosity did anyone check to see if lowering threw off the weight distribution of the car? Is there an easy way to do this other than scales or is the effect minimal that there should be no concern?

I just recently went to the track the first time after lowering the car and I lost .6 in the ¼. I am going to raise it back up this week. Looks AWESOME though, but I would rather not have $5k+ in a motor that only runs 13.2@108.99.
Also, I need to add I lowered it 2 3/4"
Just my .02, I know others have had better reaults.
