Default Need some help

I have not been on here in a while.

I am having a problem with my 2000 corvette. My car sits in a temperature controlled garage over the winter because of all the salt and snow in Germany. Today I started having an issue. I had new tires put on the car today and had to drive it to the mechanic.

Here is the issue:
He called me and said that the car turns off every time you take it out of park. You can only drive it about 3 feet before it turns off the engine. It does this in park and in drive.

Has anyone had this issue.

What can cause this.

I have another key and Will try it tomorrow.

I pulled the codes and nothing was showing up. I did not have the problem driving it there yesterday. the mechanic took the keys and drove it into the garage when I was there and it started doing this.

Here is someone with a similar issue but not exactly the same. Check it out. Make sure you look at the embedded link on a possible vacuum problem

Over the winter I installed a new Vacuum assembly because it was all dry-rotted. cot the part from corvettecentral.com. It was the OEM assembly. had no issues installing it.

I disconnected the battery, left it disconnected for about 30 min, and reconnected it. The problem went away but not sure for how long. I ordered the LMC5 kit just to be safe.
