C5 boost in HP

The OP is a base C5 and would probably need heads and cam as well as the above to get close to 400 HP at the wheels. Your Z already had the heads and cam advantage going in.
I have a '97, stock LS-1 except for Callaway Honker CAI and B&B Tri-flow catback.
Callaway advertises some pretty stout gains for this CAI (16+hp on a stock LS3 and supposedly the LS-1 is even greater due to elimination of the air bridge...

...I don't know if their numbers are true or not, but I doubt they would publish numbers they cannot substantiate.
The cat back exhaust system I have came with a dyno sheet from an otherwise stock LS-1 Corvette that showed a max hp gain of +7 @ 5000rpm and +8 lb/ft of torque at the same rpm.
In my mind, the gains from these two mods combined should be more than the sum of each one individually because one increases airflow on the intake side and the other one on the exhaust side - they compliment each other.
But, even if they don't compliment each other's performance as I think they would, the numbers above would indicate that I should have about a 25 net hp gain over stock. Add a dyno tune to that and I think 35 - 40 net hp gain over stock is realistic. That would put my LS-1 (stock 345hp) at 380 - 385 net hp. Obviously, rwhp gains would be slightly less.
My car is an MN6, so I would expect its stock rwhp to be around 300. With these mods, maybe 330 - 335 rwhp.
I will be getting a dyno tune in a couple of months (assuming the snow EVER melts), so I will post up results and let you know.
NOTE - I am (obviously) not going after big HP numbers. My goal is to make an essentially factory LS-1 run the best it can. This is in keeping with my C5 Grand Sport project theme. If you are looking for bigger gains, then there are plenty of additional mods you can do. Good luck!
