Thinking about lowering the convt and using coilovers. Any feedback, positive or negative? Will they help or hurt the ride, how about the handling, can i do them myself? Who has the best prices? :blueangel:
Coil overs transfer much more stress to the shock towers than
what they were originally designed for. I believe Doug Rippie
was one of the first to do this and he now replaces the
shock towers along with the shocks and springs... something
to be aware of.
2.5 years/12000 miles with coilovers. 8000miles of those are hard roadracing miles on the track with coilovers installed by Doug Rippie ( http://www.dougrippie.com ). The shock towers are stock.
