Just wondering??? I have just done the tpms upgrade on my 98 convertable. I found so many posts about how to it did make it super easy to do and then programmed the new fobs again another thread told me how to program went off without a hitch.
So my burning question of the day is my old 1998 fobs had a switch for passive unlock the new fobs don't is it a concern or just ignore and go blissfully on my way.
Cannot wait for the snow to leave gotta get to my tire guy and get the new tpms sensors into he rims! Yea no more error mags, hit reset. .... Hit reset ... Worth the money just to get rid of that issue.
Anyway thanks for the help, by the way for the convertable lift the deck lid and the module is right there beaucoup easy.
Yeah, the passive lock is a feature of the fob itself. On the circuit board there is a little canister with a bb that rolls back and forth, making a connection. The only good thing about it is that if you lock your keys in your car, you can sometimes rock the car and get the fob to unlock the doors.
