Default Springs / Pushrods for Z06

Ok,

I have finally decided that it looks like I am going with the texas speed MS4 cam. I do not daily drive my car, it is my weekend play car sometimes. I am used to driving a car with cams and the ways they act. For this reason, the size and driveability is not too much of an issue for me.

The question I have, what is a good set of good value springs to use? Will need to be at least .650 of lift.

Also push-rod size? and brand?

Check with TSP and see what they recommend. I used PRC springs and they have a .650 and .675 lift options. Brian tooley racing are good springs as well I have read. There are a lot of options and I would guess TSP would have you use PRC since that is their in house brand.

As far as pushrod length you need to measure to be sure but probably stock length. You should always measure though its quick and easy and is the only way to know for sure.

Ok thanks...I did not know if the PRC were any good as they seem to be priced a little cheaper than some of the others.

BTR platinums. You won't find a better spring, with not a SINGLE FAILURE documented for the price.

I use BTR (Brian Tooley Racing) for everything. I was able to order everything I needed for my Heads/ Cam swap through him.
Amazing customer service.

I am currently running his springs and lifters!

Quick and easy to measure...I used a Comp Cams length checker, p/n CCA-7702 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cca-7702-1
I recommend Smith Brothers pushrods. Call and talk to Pierre about your planned setup. He'll give you a solid recommendation, along with pricing and turnaround time info!

What brand of lifters do you plan to run? Stock or aftermarket heads? What are the specs on the TSP MS4 cam (duration, lobe lift, LSA, etc.)? What is your budget for this project?
